It's parade time! The July 4th Parade Committee invites you downtown Clarkston for a long standing community tradition. For over 80 years, Independence Township has celebrated Independence Day with a parade, and with your continued support and contributions it has grown to be the #1 parade in Oakland County on July 4th. The Parade Committee organizers are: the Clarkston Area Optimist Club, Clarkston Lions Club, Mt. Zion Church and the Clarkston Knights of Columbus.
The parade theme this year is: "Land of the FREE because of the BRAVE"
The parade begins at 10:00 am and runs until approximately 11:30 am. The parade starts at St. Daniel Church, 7010 Valley Park Drive. It will travel eastbound along Miller Road and turn southbound down Main Street. The last turn is at Church Street where floats will turn into the Clarkston Community Education/Renaissance School, 6300 Church Street, the end of the parade.
